Remember that e-mail spam you got years ago that was a dead armadillo with the yellow road stripe painted over it? Well.. this is the Kyle version... apparently a team of people thought it would be a good idea to build a sidewalk right through where a pipe was sticking up out of the ground... lazy? Inventive? Just plain dumb? I don't know... but I'd have questioned that during the frame-up of the sidewalk... or maybe when the plans called for a sidewalk right where a pipe was supposed to come up...
But that's why I'm a writer and photographer and not a building contractor..
NOTE: Today's Kyle, Texas Daily Photo is a shot sent to me by friend and photog - Peter French , he's got some great shots on his flickr. You should check his stuff out.

Well, it sure makes you wonder doesn't it?? Maybe someone who is in the know will see this post and tell us how this came about...
Sean, I love the blog - as to the pipe in the sidewalk, it is not uncommon for there to be pipes in the sidewalk, but the crews are supposed to cut the pipe flush and put a cap over the opening. Leaving the jagged stub jutting up is not bueno.
