The Tierra Antigua Farm is a local "You Pick" Farm that apparently has a great crop of peaches in May and June. I came across this sign while driving around town. Never been to it... but you can bet I'll be stopping in a few months from now.

Not much to be found online about this place...

According to a 2003 article I found here:

"Both the Tierra Antigua farm stand and subscription-share operation opened in October 2001. The cost is $20 per share, and it's possible to sign up on a weekly basis or for the whole season. Tierra Antigua is organic in practice, and their season lasts from April to October. They produce vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, and eggs."

p.s. Thanks to everyone who came out to the Kyle United Methodist Chruch garage sale. We had a great time AND made some good money to benefit the Family Life Center, the Songgang Church in China, and the playground for the kiddos.

Although legal action is pending, the congregation is planning on moving forward and finishing this building as well as the landscape and a playground. Money raised from sale of items goes towards our new building fund. Money brought in from a baked goods sale (cookies, cakes, brownies) goes towards playground equipment. The KUMC Youth will also be raising money by having a face-painting booth for the kiddos.

Visit the Kyle United Methodist Church on Saturday February 23, 2008 and help by making a purchase.

I learned this morning that one of my co-workers DELIVERED HIS OWN SON early this morning. Not planned... it was a 9-1-1 call and phone instruction... and his little one (who doesn't have a name as of yet) and wife are doing great.

He wins the "best Valentine's Gift Ever" award.

Today is February 5, 2008.
It's my Birthday. I'm 35 now.
Yeah me.

If you're in the Austin, Texas area (or want to fly in special just for me) there's a concert that is being thrown in my honor at live music venue by the name of Red Eyed Fly. Here's a flyer. If you click the flyer, you'll go to a page that features information about each band (and another nifty flyer:
