We washed it with a "Laser"...
Took the car to a LaserWash. Here... it's being LaserDri'd (I could have swore it was the big gush of wind... but apparently it was a laser... )
You can see the beads of water as I was shooting through the window... the newly CLEAN window.

Our family easter eggs. My oldest daughter (almost 4 years) asked why there was no candy inside.
These are OLD SCHOOL hard-boiled eggs. Yeah...
I also made a little YouTube video introducing them...
Hope you enjoy this little 25 second clip

Happy Easter
Our church had a easter egg hunt... and I decided to spell it out.
It was great to see the looks on the kiddo's faces when they say the plethora of eggs!

El Jackal
I wonder when this restaurant closed?
I've lived in Kyle for about 6 years and I've never seen it open.
What's in a sign?

Jordan, a chicken, and Me
OK... this wasn't taken in Kyle... but here's the reason I don't have a new Kyle, TX photo... I went up to Austin 2 nights last week for the big music fest... I supported and attended the Texas Rockfest (texasrockfest.com) instead of the 800lb gorilla that most would recognize.... but the free shows were all open game... and it was open game on shooting (a photo) with a chicken.
The Chicken was from PETA. I treated him ethically.

Bruce Curtis @ Railroad BBQ in Kyle, TX
Bruce Curtis Fallgren plays a Saturday night show at Kyle, Texas' Railroad BBQ. Here he gets a little help from a country strummin' kiddo.
Moo Cow... it's Wednesday!
If you look closely... there's a subdivision behind the cows. This is a little strip of ranch land in the middle of Kyle...
Cows are fun to take photos of... lots of them have such personality.

Kyle United Methodist Church's New Life Center - #12 in the series
It's been an interesting couple of months.... but it's really looking nice now (it always looked nice to me). Here's an update... I'll post 2 shots... so you can see the makings of the fence as well. Eventually there will be a playground between the fence and the building. It'll be really nice.
See Number 11 in the series here or by clicking on the photo.

Pinata!
The family and I went to a 4-year old's birthday party on Saturday afternoon. Complete with a "Car's" themed piñata. Awesome. This is a shot of the birthday boy hittin' the car.

Bruce Curtis Fallgren
On Saturday night we headed to the Railroad BBQ in town to see one of our friends play. Last time I saw Bruce Curtis, I was shooting his wedding (back in December). He's a really fun classic country singer... he mixes up a few originals with some great covers.
If you look at the top of the photo... you'll see his name in lights (outside the window)

Remember that e-mail spam you got years ago that was a dead armadillo with the yellow road stripe painted over it? Well.. this is the Kyle version... apparently a team of people thought it would be a good idea to build a sidewalk right through where a pipe was sticking up out of the ground... lazy? Inventive? Just plain dumb? I don't know... but I'd have questioned that during the frame-up of the sidewalk... or maybe when the plans called for a sidewalk right where a pipe was supposed to come up...
But that's why I'm a writer and photographer and not a building contractor..
NOTE: Today's Kyle, Texas Daily Photo is a shot sent to me by friend and photog - Peter French , he's got some great shots on his flickr. You should check his stuff out.

Hair Topic Etc.
This is a local Beauty Salon tha tis located on the the square in Kyle.
Hair Topic Etc
100 N Burleson St
Kyle, TX 78640
Apparently the "Etc." of Hair Topic Etc is the ironworks shop located around the corner of the building... I was able to find this little blurb online about "Ornamental Ironworks"
On the side of Hair Topic, etc, they have loads of Ornamental Ironworks. They have some really unique pieces. They have benches, Longhorn , Texas Stars which are my favorite. trellis's, etc. I thought the prices were pretty good. I purchased the Texas Star I had been looking for one and they had a few different ones to choose from. (posted on Posted 11/22/05 on Insiderpages.com)
