Last night was week 9 of the KOKE FM Free Texas Concert Series at the Central Texas Speedway in Kyle. This week was "Drew Womack and Friends." Drew Womack is an amazing singer-songwriter who co-penned the "She's Got It All" which became Kenny Chesney's first #1 hit, and his former band, Sons of the Desert, were the beautiful backup voices on the Lee Ann Womack hit "I Hope You Dance."

He's written with and for Pat Green, Cory Morrow, Robert Earl Keen, Josh Abbot and many others who make up the "Red Dirt Scene" of country music... and he's made fans of most of the names you'd associate with Texas Country/Americana.
