This beautiful building greets you when you head into downtown Kyle.
It's purrrty. I've been inside a few times. It's purrty on the inside too.

The Water Tower
If there was ONE thing people know Kyle by... it's this right here. The 'ol water tower is a legend. Again... I wish I had the story behind it.. I don't But it's the landmark that anyone who's been to Kyle remembers.

Gazebo
This Gazebo stands in the downtown square. It's on the grounds of the "old City Hall." I wish I knew the story behind it, it's pretty...and pretty ornate.

Pardon Our Progress
Have you been to Kyle Lately?
The next 4 shots are actually one's I took a while back... like in 2006. I was sent a message from an agency who wanted to use a few of my shots in a proposal to the city.
So... hope my shots do them well.

It's coming along nicely. I popped over to the east side last week and took some photos of the new hospital coming to Kyle. It's part of the Seton Family of Hospitals. According to a 2007 press release about it this represents the single largest development in Hays County and is
projected to ultimately bring 4,600 jobs into Kyle’s employment base.

Our Lowe's is open. Woot.
I've only been there once so far.... good to have one so close.
It opened on my birthday back in February.
Here's a link to the Lowe's Grand Opening announcement.

It's a monster!
No.. it's not a monster... it's something I found in the land that's being built on across from the new Lowe's in Kyle.
I don't know the name of this machine, but I'd love to drive one... and cut a big HELLO into the ground so people in planes would look down and say "What a nice neighborhood."

"In the name of love...."
STOP!
I was caught at a stoplight... this one in fact, and I grabbed this shot.
It's at the corner of IH-35 and FM 1626.

If you have ever visited Kyle... YOU KNOW the train tracks. We get caught by them ALL THE TIME. It's all good though.. makes you take time out to relax and watch the graffiti roll by.

Crepe Myrtle w/ Bee
The Crepe Myrtle was my Grandmother's favorite when she came to visit. Every time I notice the flowers coming out for the season I think of Grandma. It's a good thing.

Neighbor's Pet
My neighbor has a pet bunny rabbit. It's really cool. Doesn't bark... doesn't meow... doesn't wander into MY kitchen when I take the trash out in the morning (I experienced that Monday w/a stray dog).
Nope... he's just a chubby big-ol bunny.
My neighbor titled this photo "See? The rabbit HAS legs."
