At the June Kyle Market Days I found The Texas Pie Company's mobile grilling unit out and cooking up some Kyle Burgers.
It's called a "Kyle Burger" because all of the ingredients from the meat to the toppings are locally grown.
You can read more about that in an April story of the Hays Free Press:
http://haysfreepress.com/main.asp?SectionID=1&SubSectionID=47&ArticleID=36281&TM=28878.56
The next Kyle Market Days is this Saturday, July 4.
Who's playing?
9 a.m., Texas Blind Salamanders
noon, Pee Wee & The Way 'Tis
I always take the girls out there for a little fun, music, and business card collecting (my 5 year old collects business cards. Yes... I like that. Business cards are free...
Anyhow... I'm thinking I'm finally going to try one of these Kyle Burgers this week.

Oops.. I haven't posted in a few days... so here's some shots to get us up to date...
Saturday:

Kids playing on the rock in the park
Sunday (Easter)
My little one at the Kyle Easter Egg-stravaganza at Gregg-Clarke Park in Kyle.

Monday

Redd Volkaert plays Kyle Market Days. The next one will be May 2. The entertainment will be The JT Coldfire Band (9a), and Jeff & The Jumptones (noon).
Tuesday

This was all the rage at Kyle Market Days... the new all-locally grown Kyle Burger. As seen described in the 4/1 Hays Free Press. The burger was dreamed up by local Texas Pie Company co-owner Julie Albertson.
Now that we're up to date...have a wonderful Tuesday.
