Yesterday was my daughter's first day of First grade. My wife snapped this pic of me walking her to school.
This is bacon. I didn't have any of that this past weekend. I was at a Walk to Emmaus that was held at a place in Wimberley called Camp Young Judea. It was a life altering experience. It was also a no-pork zone (I'm Methodist... but the camp where we were is a Jewish Summer Camp)... which I got used to pretty quick... but my wife did put bacon on my pizza when I arrived home.
This is a painting I made that features the bible verse from 2 Peter 3:18. It is the verse that the church I attend uses to explain our slogan "Come Grow With Us."
I thought I'd share. You can see the actual painting if you visit the Kyle United Methodist Church on any given Sunday.

Hope & Love 4 Kids kicked off their 6th Annual School Supply Drive at the Whataburger in Kyle, Texas on July 2, 2010. The Kyle United Methodist Church had a fishing booth, Games 2 You supplied the video games, and there was fantastic face-painting and
even What-A-Guy and HEBuddy (HEB Mascot).
For more information on Hope & Love 4 Kids, visit hopeandlove4kids.org.
The Kyle United Methodist Church will be collecting school supplies (all supplies will go to HaysCISD students) until August 8, 2010. For a list of items being collected visit seanclaesdotcom.blogspot.com/2010/07/what-kick-off.html.
Since I've been bad about posting photos lately... I'll share several shots from the launch.
Miss Kyle Teen and Miss Kyle were also there signing autographs.
Even though it was a wet day, the Games2u van made it out and dozens of kids (and me) got to play some cool video games.

Did you know Whataburger has a mascot? Meet "WhataGuy." Here's he's fishing the KUMC booth.
HEBuddy was there too. He's the grocery bag mascot of H E B.

On Friday night, I'm a part of a co-ed kickball team called PRAY BALL. We're all members of the Kyle United Methodist Church.
This was the scene after the game. I'm posing with a ball on my head... the ball that I popped by kicking it onto the fence (foul ball). Jenni J. is in front of me...she did the splits as she ran to second base...and was safe. in the front is Andrea...she didn't want to be out so she dove for first base. She was out... but it was AWESOME.
So... it was a really really fun game. Our team lost 1-0 but it was a great time.
We play again on Friday @ 7:30. For team schedules and game time... check the link:
