No Bull.
| Family Portrait - 3/16 |
We ventured out to the Longhorn pasture next to the Hyundai dealership in Kyle for Bluebonnet photos (you can see them in the background. and ended up taking a family portrait with the statues.
Weather and upkeep hasn't been their friends over the years... but they are still pretty darned cool.
This is the same Longhorn I photographed in 2010 on this blog: http://kyledailyphoto.blogspot.com/2010/07/fake-longhorn-in-kyle.html

Live Oak 304 - Masonic Lodge in Kyle, Texas
![]() |
| Members of Live Oak 304 Masonic Lodge |
This is a photo of some of the greatest men I know. These are members of the Live Oak 304 Masonic Lodge in Kyle, Texas. I am a Mason (I'm the one in the middle with the blue Polo on). This is a shot a brother took of me with the people who were there when I completed one of the things I am working on in the Lodge.
These are my brothers. From other mothers.
If you feel you'd like to become a Mason...but don't know how to go about it... ask a Mason.
Also, stated Meetings are the second Monday of every month. Anyone is welcome to visit and enjoy supper on us at 6:30pm.
Any Masons are welcome to stick around for the meeting at about 7p.

Free Beer
| No Shirt... Free Beer. |
The 12 year-old in me laughed really hard.
The 41 year-old father who had to explain what it meant to my 10 year old daughter... not so much.

Hilltop Automotive Selfie
Hill Top Automotive saved my life today.
That's just a slight stretch.... really.
This morning my car wouldn't start, I went from a dead battery to having to replace the connectors (they were corroded) to them finding a small gas leak in the car (thank goodness it was just a hose)... Technically... Hill Top Automotive saved my life. If my car had started this morning...I could have been a fireball shooting down the toll road.
Oh.. I got a nifty free hat too. ;)

Lucky Dawgs BBQ - Kyle Fajita Fiesta 2013 Grand Champion
This past weekend was the Lions Club's Kyle Fajita Fiesta & BBQ Cookoff.
Kyle has a Fajita Fiesta becase it was during Kyle's Dies y Seis de Septiembre celebration in 1969 that Sonny Falcon sold the very first Fajita taco. (source)
This is Lucky Dawgs BBQ. They won Grand Champion BBQ team for 2013.
They received 3rd place Chicken, 2nd place Ribs, and 2nd place Brisket.
I judged all three of those and I have to say... there were quite a few DELICIOUS entries...so this was a tough one.

Big Red-a-Rita
This is a margarita with a Big Red tipped into it... My wife ordered it at Casa Garcia's recently.
It's not bad at all.. I prefer the Dos-A-Rita though (it's a Dos XX beer instead of the Big Red).

My daughter made stromboli!
On Monday, my 8 year-old daughter made a stromboli for dinner... and a side salad.
My wife blogged about it on her "Say A Mouthful" food blog. Here's the link if you care to read: http://sayamouthful.blogspot.com/2012/08/easy-stromboli.html

Saturday was a BUSY day in Kyle. We had a fantastic parade through the center of town that started at the park and ended at the square... where we had cake and sang Happy Birthday to Kyle.
This shot is probably my favorite from the parade. It's the Hay's Rebel's Cheerleaders.. but I caught this one in mid flip. She landed it perfectly...FYI.
Here's the link to all my parade shots: Sean Claes' 2011 Kyle Parade Photos

Went to Kyle Market Days with the kids Saturday. It was a bit hot for most..so there wasn't much of a crowd. We stopped in and visited with HunnyB Soy Candle Company (http://www.hunnybsoycandleco.com/). Found out they are local to Kyle... and really cool folks. I see some bee in my future.

Funny... Texas Pie Company 2 days in a row. This is a photo I have from a Kyle Chamber Ambassador's B.A.S.H. from 2009. That one was a downtown Kyle BASH.
It was the shot I could find quickly.
Why post it now?
Well, there's a BASH tonight.
"Ambassador's B.A.S.H. stands for Business Advancement Social Hour and is a FREE Networking opportunity for all members of the Business Community! Everyone is invited to join us. Just bring plenty of your marketing materials and your smile and get ready to network!"
Tonight's is at:
Hill Top Center for Cancer Care
1180 Seton Parkway Suite 150
Kyle, TX 78640
5:30p - 7:30p
I'll be there.
Need more information?
Here's the event from the Chamber Website:
