Happy New Year! Polar Bear Splash @ Kyle Pool

I know... Texas weather. it was in the 60s and the water was in the 50s... but I jumped in. Did you?
This is the 7th Annual Polar Bear Splash at the Kyle Pool in Kyle, Texas.

This is a near photo that Peter French took of the Kyle Pool sign. I dig it.
I picked it up off the Kyle, Texas group collection on Flickr. It's been cold and rainy.. so I've not been out to take any new pics in the last few days.

POLAR BEAR SPLASH @ The Kyle Pool

In all there was about 80 people (including me) who jumped into the pool. I don't have a shot of everyone because I was participating. Luckily Chad Benninghoff (who jumped in at the same time as me) wanted to be the last person to get out of the pool so I was able to get this shot.

I was the 2nd person who swam the length of the pool to get out. The 47 degree water was not a friend of mine... but it's totally worth doing once a year.
