OK... sometimes people make my job too easy. My wife saw this sign and told me about it. Probably the funniest sign I've seen in town. Of course, it's not meant to be funny.... it's a loading sign for a concrete place.
:)

Early voting for the vacant Place 5 Kyle City Council seat began yesterday...
I've seen signs for Chad Benninghoff and Lucy Johnson, but none for the other candidates, Bob Straub, or Ron Barrera.
To read a letter three of the four candidates wrote to the local newspaper (Hays Free Press), follow this link from a July 2 article:

More information on where to vote, I found this PDF on the City of Kyle website::

Here's the sign from the Center Grocery Market in Kyle.... cool thing... one of my photos of the Lottery sign in the window was just used in a blog about the Texas Lottery...

A chicken, Scooby Doo, a Mouse, and a Man walk into a bar
Sorry I've been a little out of practice this last week or so... I've been hanging with a mouse, chicken and Scooby Doo.
No... really I've been kind of busy, and haven't had a chance to take new photos.

Bridgepost
Just a post that looked kind of cool as I was waiting at a red light. This one is over 1626/I-35 near the Kyle HEB Plus!
(By the way...I don't have a soft part for exclamation points... the name of the HEB is actually with the "!" after. I actually really dislike using exclamation points in text.. it's a pet peeve of mine.)

Construction at 1626/I-35
It's hard to imagine this is going to be a hospital someday soon.

USA Rollergirl
I keep forgetting to post the photos from my neighborhood's 4th of July parade. This was the Rollergirl what was in the parade. Pretty cool.

Manna From Heaven
I ate there for lunch Monday. The Carne Guisada was fantastic (it's their Monday lunch special).
I should rearrange the letters to read "ATE"
:)
Happy Friday!

I think this house is ugly
Around the corner from the house I like. This one is also in the Blanco Vista Subdivision in Kyle.

Don't Discard A Cigarette...
Here's the results of a little fire (thank God for Kyle Volunteer Fire Department) that happened a week or so ago between the highway (I-35) and the access road. THIS is what happens when an idiot throws a cigarette butt our the window when there's a big big big dry spell.

I like this house.
This is a home in the Blanco Vista Subdivision in Kyle. It's a new subdivision... in South Kyle... there's a brand-new overpass that pretty much just drives to these homes...
This is the only home I saw (there's a few dozen built) that I really liked the look of.... and it's sold.
Not that I'm looking to move from my place... My neighborhood rocks. I'll post a few shots from the neighborhood 4th of July parade in the next few days.

Port-A-Potty
Yellow is for Liquid (says the sign)... Wonder what brown is for?

Pizza Classics is OPEN!
I've still not been back to Pizza Classics to eat, but I'm planning on checking out the new place soon. If it's as good as the old location (which is should be.. same owners/recipe/sign... just different location) it will be fantastic.

The Lawyers Place...
Funny... last time I really looked at this place it was a mattress place. Looks like lawyers took it over. Kind of glad I don't need these folks' service... but pretty happy they're in town just in case.
Looks like the names on the sign are Kelly Higgins (Criminal Defense) and Megan D. Rogers (Attorney At Law).

Old building in Kyle (off old Hwy 81)
Happy Birthday America!
This is an old building...
Don't know anything about this... just that it's old and made for a good photo.

Free?
Anyone need a slightly (meaning really really really) used baby carrier?

Piscis Fajitas for One
Just to keep 'em all together... this was my fajita plate. It was pretty darned good. The tortillas weren't the "out of the bag store bought" variety either.
Yes... we'll be back to Piscis.

Here's what Piscis looks like from the outside. Tomorrow I'll post the fajita plate I ordered. Yum.
In 2006 I took a photo of the "old" restaurant that was here, Fonzie'z. It used to be the hub of the city, where folks would have their morning coffee and make their plans for the day (or plans for the future of the city). Anyhow... here's the photo from then: (http://kyledailyphoto.blogspot.com/2006/08/two-for-tuesday-for-first-time-since-i.html)
