This is a funky public telephone I found at the same place as the "No Swimming" photo. I don't think I'd seen one quite like this one before. Kind of reminds me of Mork from Ork...

Yes, that is a telephone book. Ever now and then there's one next to or attached to a phone box... it's not common though.
